Another For Sale By Owner sign popped up in my neighborhood recently. I wonder if the sellers are heading down the same path as the last three homeowners who tried to go FSBO. Here's what happened for each of them: A sign went up in the yard—the familiar red and white FSBO sign for two of the homes and a homemade poster board on a wooden stake for the third. All had hand-written phone numbers scrawled on them ... not easy to read. There were property fliers, an open house or two, and then ... nothing. All three properties sold, one in just two days and the others in a little over a week. Now, I'm not saying that people can't successfully sell their homes themselves.
